Airline employer brands
I found this article to be very interesting as it demonstrates that many airlines are trying to be more dynamic and creative with their marketing efforts. Granted not all of these efforts are deemed to be successful and are subject to individual opinion. I for one am pleased to see this change in an industry still known for being somewhat traditional. These new branding efforts certainly impact an airlines ability to hire. For example, the Virgin Atlantic brand is likely to be an influential factor for applicants considering working for the company. Employer branding has never been so important when the fight for the top aviation talent is now truly global. The Middle Eastern and Asian carriers being the catalyst to this. Not every airline would suit a brand or style similar to Virgin but it will be interesting to see how these new brands affect hiring trends.
